All persons must be wearing face mask appropriately upon arrival (extending from the middle of the nasal bridge to halfway between the chin and the neck) and adhere to social distancing and hygiene protocols.

They must be in possession of a COVID-19 negative PCR test result from an accredited laboratory in the country of origin. The test should have been done not more than 72 hours before the scheduled departure time from the country of origin. For passengers who transit through other countries before arriving in Ghana, the first country of departure will be the reference point. For passengers who depart Ghana and return within one (1) week, the passengers will not be required to present a COVID-19 test result from the country of departure. A negative COVID-19 test from Ghana used on departure will serve as evidence of meeting the COVID-19 test criteria for arriving in Ghana. In addition, all persons must be wearing face mask appropriately upon arrival (extending from the middle of the nasal bridge to halfway between the chin and the neck). All passengers will be subject to a mandatory COVID-19 test at the airport terminal at the cost to the passenger. All persons testing positive will receive further clinical assessment and treatment. All persons testing negative will be advised to continue to observe COVID-19 safety precautions following arrival in Ghana. 
      • Airlines who board passengers without a PCR test result or a Positive PCR test result will be sanctioned 
    • 5. Exemptions 
      • The following categories of passengers and crew are exempt from COVID-19 PCR test Testing 
        • i) Children under-5 years of age will not be required to undergo testing at the airport. 
        • ii) Persons who arrive under emergency circumstances such as diverted flights will not be required to undergo testing if they do not leave the airport or if they remain in transit such that they do not leave the hotel. 
        • iii) Airline crew are exempt from the pre-departure and arrival testing and should follow airline policy for testing. 
  • MANAGEMENT OF CONFIRMED CASES OF COVID-19 
    • All persons testing positive will receive further clinical assessment and treatment. Confirmed COVID-19 positive will be handled by the Port Health Unit for the remainder of their arrival processes. Following completion of the arrival procedures, they will be sent to the Ga East Municipal Hospital for further clinical assessment and management. RESTRICTIONS FOR TECHNICAL REFUELING/CREW REST

  • Crew rest Allowed - All crew shall be exempt from quarantine after operating any flight if their body temperature is not above 37.5° C (99.5°F); do not exhibit symptoms of COVID–19 and there is no suspected case of COVID-19 on their flight. With a suspected case of COVID-19 on the flight, the crew shall be quarantined at home or designated facility. If results are negative they shall be allowed to resume normal duties.

 
QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS

  • All arriving passengers on international flights whose body temperature is NOT above 37.5° C (99.5°F); do not have a persistent cough, difficulty in breathing or other flu-like symptoms; have negative PCR based COVID – 19 test carried out within 96 hours before travel and are from countries considered low to medium risk COVID – 19 transmission areas shall be exempt from quarantine.

  • The air operators shall be responsible for ensuring proper screening, medical briefing and reporting any cases to the relevant authorities
  • For those passengers traveling out of the country, they will be required to abide by the particular travel, health and COVID-19 related requirements of the destination country;
  • Passengers arriving on flights after the curfew, with a valid Air Ticket and Boarding Pass shall be allowed to proceed to their hotels and/or residences;
  • Drivers should have evidence that they have come from the Airport to drop or pick up passengers;
  • Air Operators shall provide guidance material to passengers regarding application of the preventive measures on board;
  • Where physical distancing cannot be guaranteed because of the seat configuration or other operational constraints, the crew members will make constant on-board announcements reminding passengers to adhere at all times to all the other preventive measures including strict hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette and should wear a surgical face mask. In addition, other measures such as cabin high efficiency particulate filters (HEPA) where available will be employed.
  • Kenya Airports Authority, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works is reviewing frequency and timing of flights to facilitate physical distancing at the Airports.

    • Between Wednesday 23rd December and Thursday 31st December all visitors arriving from South Africa will not be permitted to stay in their private residence, but will have to book in a category 2 establishment for at least 10 days before being tested, and if negative can complete the remaining 4 days at home or in a Category 1 establishment. 
    • From Wednesday 23rd December, Seychellois, permanent residents and approved GOP holders entering from South Africa will be required to go into facility quarantine for at least 10 days before being tested, and if negative can complete the remaining 4 days at home or approved residence. 
    • With effect from Monday 28th December, the United Kingdom will no longer feature on the list of countries from which visitors may travel to Seychelles. Seychellois, permanent residents and approved GOP holders may continue to travel from the United Kingdom to Seychelles under existing conditions. 
    • These measures will be in effect until the end of January 2021, and will be subject to reviews before that date

  • With effect from 08 June 2020, all private flight operators will be required to pay the newly implemented Health Tax of USD50 per passenger, inclusive of the USD50 for passenger service fee and USD15 for disembarkation levy
  • Visitors may be permitted from approved countries. The list of approved countries is posted on the Department of Tourism and Department of Health websites, and will be revised periodically. Visitors should note that the COVID-19 outbreak is dynamic and the listing of countries may change. They must therefore ensure that flight and hotel bookings permit flexibility regarding cancellation or postponement at short notice 
  • All passengers must submit to the Public Health Authority (submission form is available on Department of Tourism and Department of Health websites and should be submitted to [email protected]), proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test that is less than 72 hours prior to boarding the flight to Seychelles. 
  • Passengers must present proof of negative test results when checking-in for their flight to Seychelles. Airlines will not accept passengers for travel to Seychelles without the test result. 
  • Aircraft/Airline are not to board any passengers or crew who are symptomatic of COVID-19. 
  • Any passengers who arrive in Seychelles without proof of negative COVID 19 PCR test, will be turned back on the same aircraft. 
  • Exit screening must have been completed by all incoming passengers and crew. 
  • Entry screening will be done upon arrival starting with completion of the health check form, symptomatic check, temperature scanning. The passenger may be required to undergo additional tests. 
  • All passengers must provide proof of accommodation in an approved establishment for the entire period of stay and must show booking vouchers at Immigration on entry. (Visitors should consult the Seychelles Tourism website for the list of approved establishments and any additional advice.) 
  • From the month of August, visitors are permitted to stay in not more than 2 different approved establishments in the first 7 days. 
  • To ensure the safety of staff and visitors, all persons at tourism establishments are monitored daily for signs of illness by the Health and Safety Officer or designated person. 
  • All tourism establishments have set up measures to increase vigilance, enhance hygiene and social and physical distancing. Visitors are required to follow the guidance of the management and staff. (See also Guide for Visitors published by the Department of Tourism)

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

 

  • Lome International Airport is Open to all flights subject to new travel procedure as per the below:
    • The Togolese State recommends that any traveler departing from or going to Lomé to take out medical or travel insurance when purchasing their ticket, if they do not already have international health insurance.
    • Any traveler departing from Lomé must undergo  a COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours before departure. A laboratory dedicated to screening passengers departing from Lomé is set up in the enclosure of the former terminal of Gnassingbé Eyadema International Airport (AIGE), hereinafter Lomé airport, for COVID-19 screening tests.
    • As of August 10, 2020 , any passenger bound for Lomé must present, before boarding, a negative COVID-19 PCR test result dating less than 5 days. The arriving passenger  is subjected to another COVID-19 PCR test at the location in the new AIGE terminal.  To this end, he must complete the online form  available online at https://voyage.gouv.tg  and pay the costs of said test  before  their departure.
    • The airlines check the results of the passengers' COVID-19 PCR tests on boarding and the electronic receipt certifying the payment of the costs of the COVID-19 PCR test to be carried out on arrival at Lomé Airport.
    • All travelers must install, on their arrival at Lomé airport, the  TOGO SAFE mobile application , and keep it active for the duration of their stay or at least 30 days from their arrival in Togo.

    • Failing to download this application, travelers on arrival are quarantined within the monitoring structures set up by the State. The associated costs are the responsibility of the traveler.

  • People in self-containment must respect the strict rules relating to it while keeping the  TOGO SAFE application activated  while awaiting the results of their COVID-19 PCR test. They must submit to unannounced checks carried out by security and / or health officers at their place of self-containment.
  • In the event of non-compliance with the self-containment rules, and in accordance with Law No. 2009-007 of May 15, 2019 on the Public Health Code of the Togolese Republic, sanctions apply, including the payment of a fine and the placement of these people, at their expense, within the quarantine structures set up by the State.
