  • If a passenger does not arrive with proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test, a rapid COVID-19 test will be performed at the airport, at a cost of 25,000 CFA (approximately $45 USD) and the passenger will be detained until results are available.

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

•    As of 12:01AM ET on June 12, 2022, CDC will no longer require air passengers traveling from a foreign country to the United States to show a negative COVID-19 viral test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before they board their flight. For more information
•    If you are a non-US citizen who is a nonimmigrant (not a US citizen, US national, lawful permanent resident, or traveling to the US on a immigrant visa), you will need to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COID-19 before you travel by air to the USA from a foreign country.
•    All air passengers to the USA are also required to provide contact information to airlines before boarding flights to the USA
•    Entry requirements for Central African Republic are the same for all travelers, regardless of vaccination status.
•    All travelers entering CAR are required to wear face masks, use hand sanitizer, have their body temperatures taken and disinfect luggage among other measures.
•    14 days self-isolation is mandatory for any person entering CAR who is coming from a location with local transmission of COVID-19. Airline companies must also cooperate with the government of CAR concerning quarantine and other measures necessary to manage the spread of coronavirus. Internal Restriction

  • Departing passengers must comply with the entry requirements of their country of destination, which may include presentation of a negative PCR COVID-19 test conducted by Laboratoire des Grandes Epidémies or at one of the Chadian hospitals entitled to carry out the PCR test upon departure. The PCR test costs 15,000 FCFA (approximately USD $30) for vaccinated and 40, 000 FCFA (approximately USD $70) for unvaccinated travellers.

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • No restrictions, All flights are subject to CAA approval.
  • Is a negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or serology) required for entry? No for vaccinated travelers, yes for unvaccinated travelers.
  • All arriving passengers are to obtain an eVISA before arrival into Djibouti. Please consult with your embassy for requirements and application procedures.
  • Travelers who have received a complete course of COVID-19 vaccination can enter Djibouti with only proof of such vaccination. Travelers without proof of a complete course of vaccination must present a negative COVID test certificate within 72 hours of boarding any flight bound for Djibouti and not more than 120 hours prior to their arrival in Djibouti; all travelers without a complete course of vaccinations will be screened upon arrival and must have a negative result in order to enter.
  • Travelers without proof of vaccination coming to Djibouti by air/sea/land must be screened for COVID-19 upon arrival at ports of entry and the test must be negative in order for an individual to enter the country.
  • Upon arrival at Ambouli International Airport, all passengers without proof of vaccination are tested for COVID-19 using a minimally invasive saliva test.  Travelers identified with the virus either go into isolation and treatment at a local hospital or quarantine at their hotel. Travelers will have to pay 5000 Fdj or $30 to cover the cost of the COVID-19 saliva test.
  • Travelers coming to Djibouti must be equipped with protective masks at the time of departure or arrival at the points of entry, respect the physical distance of one meter, if possible, at all stages of the journey and carry a hydro-alcoholic gel throughout the trip.

•    Aircraft sanitation is required. 
•    Is a negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or serology) required for entry? No, passengers are no longer required to take a COVID-19 test to fly to Egypt. Egypt’s COVID-19 entry restrictions were lifted on June 17, 2022. Previously, travelers who did not have a valid vaccination certificate needed to take a COVID-19 PCR or antigen test before flying.
•    A negative PCR test result certificate should not be requested upon entry.
•    Entry rules are the same for vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers
•    It is reported that the Government of Egypt will also allow travelers to enter with proof of a WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccination.  The vaccination certificate must comply with the rules of the issuing country and contain a QR code.  Note:  most U.S. vaccination cards, including those issued by the Centers for Disease Control, do not include a QR code required by the Government of Egypt, and, as a result most U.S. vaccination cards are not accepted by Egyptian authorities.
•    Except for the Janssen / Johnson & Johnson vaccine, two doses are always required.  The Egyptian authorities do not recognize vaccination of a recovered person with just one vaccination dose.

Beyond this you will have to go to an office of the Passports, Emigration & Nationality Administration to update your visa status and pay the fine before you will be allowed to exit Egypt. For those in the Greater Cairo area, the office is located in Abbassiya. The Abbassiya office has reduced hours due to COVID-19 and is open from 8:30 am until 2:00 pm. While Egyptian immigration officers may grant waivers of some overstay fines for travelers who remained in Egypt because they were unable to depart the country due to the COVID-19 outbreak, an Egyptian immigration officer will make this determination on a case by case basis. 
•    As of 12:01 a.m. EDT June 12, 2022, the CDC order requiring all persons aged two and above to show a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before boarding a flight to the United States, is rescinded.  Starting at 12:01 a.m. EDT on June 12, 2022, the CDC will no longer order air passengers to show a negative COVID-19 test result, or show documentation of recovery from COVID-19, prior to boarding a flight to the United States.  Of note, CDC’s Order requiring proof of vaccination for non-U.S. citizen nonimmigrants to travel to the United States is still in effect

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • The Liberian Ministry of Health updated its Traveler’s Protocol dated 20 July 2022. Effective immediately, no COVID test is required to enter Liberia and all COVID-19 testing for incoming travelers is suspended. However, all travelers aged 18 and over must show proof of vaccination upon arrival.  Those without proof of vaccination will be returned to their country of embarkation at the traveler’s or airline’s expense. Incoming passengers are no longer required to complete the Health Screening Arrival Form. Refer to the Traveler’s Protocol for details. All passengers arriving in Roberts International Airport from South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Mozambique and Lesotho are required to quarantine, and will be taken directly from the airport to Star Base Precautionary Observation centre for a period of seven days at their own expense.
  • EXEMPT TRAVELERS: All arriving diplomats and their families and honorary consuls are exempt from testing. The exempt status does not apply to Liberian diplomats without foreign assignment. In lieu of testing, all exempt incoming travelers MUST present a negative PCR COVID-19 test result upon arrival at the airport in Liberia. The result must be from an accredited lab and must have been conducted within 96hours of arrival in Liberia. Children under 5 years of age are exempt from all COVID-19 testing. However, for the countries that require children to be tested, the stipulated fee will apply.
  • Incoming Travelers:
    • 1.    All travelers 18 years and above must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination upon arrival. Travelers without poof of vaccination will be returned to their country of embarkation at the expense of the airline. 
    • 2.    No negative COVID-19 test result is required for travelers
    • 3.    Passengers traveling to Liberia are not required to complete the Health Screening Arrival Form.
    • 4.    COVID-19 testing for incoming travelers at the airport is suspended. 
  • Outgoing Travelers:
    • ALL travelers must check the COVID-19 guidelines and regulations of their destination country.
    • 1.    All persons traveling out of Liberia are encouraged to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and follow the COVID-19 protocol requirement(s) of the destination country.
    • 2.    All persons traveling to countries that require a COVID-19 test must present a negative COVID-19 test certificate before departure.
      • a.    COVID-19 sample collection (testing) for PCR and _RDT is available at the Union Center located on Sophia Road in Congo Town, Monrovia-from 9 am to 4 pm, 7 days a week. Travelers are encouraged to register at http://liberiacovidtravel.org prior to arrival at the Union Center. To register, select ''Request a Travel Certificate" and fill out the requested information. Travelers should ensure they provide correct contact details and will receive a unique identification number to retrieve their test result online (http://liberiacovidtravel.org). Travelers are encouraged to print a hard copy of their negative Covid-19 certificate before arriving at the Robert's International Airport.
      • b.    Testing fees for outgoing travelers that require COVID travel certificate: ECOWAS citizens traveling to ECOWAS countries must pay us$50 for cost of COVID-19 testing while those traveling outside ECOWAS region must pay US$75. Payments can either be made online or in cash at the UBA banking window at the Union Testing Centre.
      • c.    Travelers who test positive will be denied travel and must adhere to Liberia’s COVD-19 Case Management guidelines. A re-test will be conducted on day five (5) based on prevailing health status.

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • Traveler Health Declaration (THD) must be filled in and submitted by all travelers travelling to and from Maldives, within 72 hours prior to their travel. You may submit the form electronically via https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/ethd
  • The Public Health Emergency for the COVID-19 Pandemic announced on 12th March 2020 has been revoked on 13th March 2022 by the Minister of Health Ahmed Naseem.
  • All international airports in Maldives will be Open with Restrictions for operations.
  • Tourists travelling to the Maldives will be provided visa on arrival. Tourists must have a hotel reservation confirmation for the entire stay in a registered tourist facility'
  • Effective from 26th July 2021 onwards, Tourists intending to check-in or stay)/ at tourist facilities in inhabited islands will be Permitted if:
    • a) they have completed prescribed dose(s) of a COVlD-|9 vaccine (approved by World Health Organization Emergency Use Listing (EUL) or Maldives Food and Drug Authority), and at least l4 (fourteen) days have passed after the completion of the prescribed dose(s), and
    • (b) hold a negative result for a nucleic acid test (PCR test for COVID- l9 with sample taken at most 72 (seventy-two) hours before departure from the first port of embarkation.
  • According to Maldives Health Protection Agency, effective July 26, 2021, all tourists are required to hold a valid negative PCR test result from a sample taken 96 hours or less prior to embarkation in Maldives. This requirement is not mandatory for children below the age of one.
  • All tourists should hold a negative PCR test result from a test taken within 72 hours of checking-out of a guesthouse from any inhabited island.
  • If any members of the travel party test positive, the person who tests positive will be placed in isolation for 14 days at their expense and the rest of the family will be placed in quarantine for 14 days at their expense.

  • lf a passenger makes a transit exceeding 24 hours, the passenger must take a repeat PCR test within 96 hours prior to embarkation at the port of transit.
  • The following category of passengers are required to undergo mandatory home quarantine for 14 (fourteen) days in their place of residency or work. Such passengers must obtain a COVID- l9 negative PCR Test result before they are released from home quarantine.

  • Maldivian citizens and Work Visa holders travelling to the Maldives are required to undergo mandatory home quarantine for l0 (ten) days in their place of residency or work.

 

  • Tourists are allowed entry without quarantine upon arrival.
  • Travelers who test positive (regardless of vaccination status) and are asymptomatic are required to quarantine for 7 days at their own expense from the date the testing sample was taken.  If symptomatic, the quarantine period will end 24 hours after the COVID-19 positive person stops showing symptoms.
  • Travelers who are fully vaccinated but have had contact with someone who tests positive for COVID-19 will have two options:  
    • 1) 10-day quarantine at their own expense from the last date of contact with the COVID-19 positive patient.  If the direct contact does not show symptoms after 10 days, they will automatically be released from quarantine.  No further testing is required.  
    • 2) 5-day quarantine at their own expense from the last day of contact with the COVID-19 positive patient, followed by a negative PCR test.  
  • Travelers who are not fully vaccinated and test positive for COVID-19 must undergo 14 days of quarantine at their own expense and then receive a negative COVID-19 test result to be released from quarantine.   
  • Travelers who are required to quarantine must pay for their own extended stay.  You should reconsider travel to Maldives if you do not have sufficient funds to cover any additional quarantine period.
  • The government is taking active steps to prevent further spreading, including travel restrictions, involuntary isolation, and mandatory quarantines.  
  • Travelers who test positive or are exposed to someone with a positive test for COVID-19 are routinely separated from their travel companions and forced to isolate/quarantine at their own expense for a number of days as stipulated by the Government of Maldives.

  • Covid-19 – Flight Restrictions: All International flights can only be admitted with the Prior Authorization of The State Representative In 'Mayotte.'
  • Little is known about the situation in Mayotte, and although travel justification will be lifted for fully vaccinated travelers, it is warned that even these travelers could be at very high risk of infection. 
  • A negative PCR test of less than 72 hours are required for all passengers and arrivals are asked to self-isolate for 7 days upon arrival
  • Travelers who are not vaccinated must show they are essential travelers with a compelling reason for travel to and from Mayotte.
  • Individuals travelling to Mayotte over the age of 11 must present the following:

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • DNAA, DNMM and DNKN are open (24 HR Operations)
    • All travelers are permitted but must follow travel protocols.
    • The following measures shall apply to airlines and passengers who fail to comply with (a) above:
      • i. Airlines shall mandatorily pay a penalty of $3,500 (Three Thousand Five Hundred dollars) for each defaulting passenger; and
      • ii. Non-Nigerians will be denied entry and returned to the country of embarkation at cost to the Airline.
  • Rapid antigen testing is not widely used in Nigeria, and it is not recognized by the Nigerian government for travel purposes.  Travelers who arrive with a rapid antigen test may be required to quarantine at a Nigerian government facility.  Free COVID testing for those with symptoms is available from the Nigerian CDC, but results may not be available quickly.

***Effective April 4, 2022, Nigeria’s Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 released new protocols for all travellers to Nigeria, particularly:

  • All passengers travelling to Nigeria from any country MUST register via the online Nigeria International Travel Portal (nitp.ncdc.gov.ng).
  • Fully vaccinated passengers arriving in Nigeria are not required to test for COVID-19 before departure or after arrival.

  • Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated passengers are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test 48hrs before departure and on day 2 and 7 post-arrival. These passengers must pay for their PCR tests through the Nigeria International Travel Portal (nitp.ncdc.gov.ng) prior to departure.
  • Children under 18 years follow the same rules as those who are fully vaccinated.
  • Passengers who do not follow the protocols for COVID-19 will face penalties.

COVID 19 Protocol Summary

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  1. Travelers entering URT including Tanzanians, returning residents, truck drivers/crew and those in transit through land borders who are.

 

    1. Fully vaccinated, will be exempted from both RT PCR and Rapid Antigen Test requirements. Travelers will be required to present a valid vaccination certificate with QR code for verification upon arrival. The only accepted vaccines are those which have been approved by the URT and the World Health Organization.

 

    1. Not fully vaccinated, unvaccinated and those not eligible for vaccination due to their country policies will be required to present a negative COVID-19 RT- PCR or NAATs certificate with QR code obtained within 72 hours before departure.

 

    1. Not fully vaccinated, unvaccinated and those not eligible for vaccination due to their country policies and have no negative COVID-19 RT- PCR certificate will be tested for COVID 19 upon arrival using a Rapid Antigen Test at their own cost of TZS 23,000 (10 USD) for Tanzania Mainland except children aged 12 years and below and aircraft crew. Positive cases will be further confirmed by RT- PCR at a cost of 50 USD. For ground crossings, positive cases will be handled according to Bilateral and Joint Border agreements.

 

  1. Travelers in transit by air transport are exempted from both vaccination and COVID 19 testing requirements unless stated otherwise by the conveyance to be used or countries of their final destinations.
  2. All departing travelers are advised to seek information prior to departure from their travel agents regarding COVID-19 requirements of their country of destination or conveyance to be used.

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

All flights require prior permission.

All flights to DXXX will be allowed but require the usual CAA approval.

  • The Togolese State recommends that all travelers departing from or going to Lomé to take out medical or travel insurance when purchasing their ticket if they do not already have international health insurance.
  • Any traveler departing from Lomé must undergo a COVID-19 PCR test within 7 days before departure.
  • Passengers traveling TO Lomé:
    • Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to have proof of negative PCR test. However, proof of vaccination must include a QR code (see here for details). CDC paper cards are not accepted as proof of vaccination by Togolese authorities, and passengers presenting these without an accompanying QR code must test upon arrival.
      • For unvaccinated travelers, proof of a negative PCR test is still required and these passengers will be subjected to a PCR test upon arrival.
      • The negative PCR test must be within 5 days of travel.
      • Togo is now employing an e-visa system which requires U.S. citizens to apply and pay for their visas before arrival in Togo.
  • Passengers traveling FROM Lomé:
    • Fully vaccinated travelers are exempt from PCR testing when traveling to a country that does not require it as an entry document. Please see note on proof of vaccination above.
    • For unvaccinated travelers, proof of a negative PCR test is required.
    • The negative PCR test must be within 5 days of travel UNLESS the country of destination has different entry requirements. If the country of destination requires a negative PCR test with a shorter validity, those requirements will be followed.

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • Foreign travelers allowed, subject to approval by CAA.
  • A vaccine certificate or pass is required for all incoming non-resident foreigners aged 18 and older. Official vaccination evidence (such as the CDC vaccination card) does not need a QR code.
  • You must have been vaccinated at least 28 days before travelling (Janssen vaccine) or at least 14 days before travelling (all other vaccines).
  • Unvaccinated travelers aged 18 and older must take either a PCR test less than 48 hours before travel or a rapid lateral flow test less than 24 hours before travel and carry dated evidence of a negative result. This test must include a QR code.
  • Vaccinated travelers are no longer required to present a PCR or rapid test to enter Tunisia.
  • Travelers may be subject to random rapid or PCR tests on arrival. If the test is positive, the traveler will be required to self-isolate for five days. If symptoms persist, they will be required to isolate for a further two days.
