ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 The following are the revised requirements for travelers entering and exiting Botswana: 

  • a) Present a negative COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test done within 72 hours upon arrival for the traveler that has been outside Botswana for 36 hours or longer. 
  • b) Travelers who have been outside Botswana for less than 36 hours will be allowed entry using the negative COVID-19 PCR test obtained upon exit. 
  • c) Complete a COVID-19 self- declaration Screening form and undergo temperature checks upon arrival entry into Botswana. 
  • d) May be required to undertake mandatory testing and possible isolation or quarantine, as per section 76 (1) (2) and 80 of the Public Health Act of 2014 if found to have symptoms suggestive of COVID-19. 
  • e) Complete a traveler locator form, providing accurate contact information while in Botswana. The local health authority may contact the traveler within 14 days of arrival. 
  • f) Returning citizens and residents not meeting the requirement will undergo 14-day mandatory quarantine and testing at their own cost (as assessed by a local authority). 
  • g) Children aged under five (5) years are upon arrival exempted from the 72-hour negative COVID-19 PCR test result requirement but should undergo screening for COVID-19 symptoms. 
  • h) Non- citizen travelers not meeting the requirement and unable to bear the cost for testing and quarantine upon arrival will be DENIED entry into Botswana. 
  • i) Travelers exiting Botswana are expected to comply with travel regulations of the destination country at their expense.

  • Departing Passengers 
    • All passengers on international flights departing KIA will be required to adhere to COVID-19 testing requirements for the destination countries. All persons must be wearing a face mask appropriately (extending from the middle of the nasal bridge to halfway between the chin and the neck) and adhere to social distancing and hygiene protocols. Departing passengers will undergo COVID-19 screening including the checking of temperature. 
    • Only passengers and persons with business in the terminal will be allowed entry to the Departure Hall. Online check-in or the use of self-service kiosks is strongly encouraged to reduce physical contact at the airport. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 4 hours before the scheduled departure time. 
  • Arriving Passengers 
    • All arriving passengers must not have any symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 including body temperature >38°C. They must be in possession of a COVID-19 negative PCR test result from an accredited laboratory in the country of origin. The test should have been done not more than 72 hours before the scheduled departure time from the country of origin. For passengers who transit through other countries before arriving in Ghana, the first country of departure will be the reference point. For passengers who depart Ghana and return within one (1) week, the passengers will not be required to present a COVID-19 test result from the country of departure. A negative COVID-19 test from Ghana used on departure will serve as evidence of meeting the COVID-19 test criteria for arriving in Ghana. 
    • In addition, all persons must be wearing face mask appropriately upon arrival (extending from the middle of the nasal bridge to halfway between the chin and the neck). All passengers will be 
    • subjected to a mandatory COVID-19 test at the airport terminal at the cost of $150 to be borne by the passenger. Payment can be made online at https://myfrontierhealthcare.com/Home/Ghana. Any passenger who is unable to pay online will be required to make payment on arrival for the test. 
    • All arriving passengers who test positive for COVID-19 will undergo a seven (7) day mandatory isolation and treatment at a designated health facility or isolation centre. However, the final discharge of cases will be based on existing case management guidelines and protocols. 
    • All passengers who test negative for COVID-19 will be required to continuously adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols and will receive regular information on COVID-19 within five (5) days of arrival in Ghana. 
  • Sanctions 
    • Airlines that board passengers without a PCR test result or a Positive PCR test result will be sanctioned and fined US$3,500 per passenger. Non-Ghanaian passengers may be refused entry and returned to the point of embarkation at a cost to the Airline. Ghanaians will have their passports seized and will be allowed entry but subject to 14 days of mandatory quarantine at a facility approved by the Government and at a cost to the passenger.
  • Exemptions 
    • The following categories of passengers and crew are exempt from COVID-19 PCR Testing 
      • Children under-5 years of age will not be required to undergo testing at the airport. 
      • Children between the ages of 5-12 years will undergo testing on arrival free of charge. 
      • Persons who arrive under emergency circumstances such as diverted flights will not be required to undergo testing if they do not leave the airport or if they remain in transit such that they do not leave the hotel. 
      • Airline crew are exempt from the pre-departure and arrival testing and should follow airline policy for testing. 
  • Travelling with Pets 
    • Travelling with pets into Ghana is allowed in line with guidelines of the Veterinary Services Directorate of the Ministry of Food & Agriculture 
  • Transit Passengers 
    • Passengers transiting and transferring through Accra will not be required to take the COVID-19 test in Accra. 
    • Transit passengers will be required to adhere to COVID-19 testing requirements for the destination countries.
  • Management of Confirmed Cases of COVID-19

    • Foreign diplomats and their accompanying family members
    • Airline/aircraft crew whose transit stay in the Maldives
      • is arranged in an accommodation other than a designated transit facility and/or;
      • duration of stay will exceed seven days
    • Crew of ships who arrive by air to sign onto a ship
  • The sample for the PCR rest must be taken not more than 96 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure from the first port of embarkation en-route to the Maldives.
  • Children below one year old are exempt from the requirement of a PCR test.
  • lf the passenger makes a ransit during the journey, the initial PCR test will be valid if the transit does not exceed 24 hours.
  • lf a passenger makes a transit exceeding 24 hours, the passenger must take a repeat PCR test within 96 hours prior to embarkation at the port of transit.
  • Passengers except those specified in paragraph (a), (e), (f) and 3 are required to undergo mandatory home quarantine for l0 (ten) days in their place of residency or work. Such passengers must obtain a COVID- l9 negative PCR Test result before they are released from quarantine.

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • Private / Charter flights allowed.
  • All travelers into Rwanda must have a negative RT-PCR test no older than 72hrs.

QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS

  • All travelers are required to wait 24hrs for the results of the covid test in the designated transit hotel. 
  • They are then required to quarantine for 7 days at home. After this they will need to go for a final test at a designated testing station. 
  • Business travelers and international tourist visiting for less than 7 days do not have to undergo quarantine, however they will be tested on departure.

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • Several different Categories, please check their travel advisory on their website for detailed information as it is very case specific: tourism.gov.sc
  • Vaccinated Pax/Crew are allowed from any country as long as they can show proof of both does of the vaccine and it has been 2 weeks since the second does. PCR test 72 hours is also required.
  • Non-Vaccinated persons are allowed from Permitted Countries:
  • Permitted countries considered low and medium risk have been listed as Category. 1 
  • In an effort to provide more confidence to tourism partners in key source market countries, the authorities in Seychelles have decided to provide Special Status to a group of 7 countries. These are the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and the United Arab Emirates. Under normal circumstances whenever the number of cases go beyond a particular threshold, visitors from these countries would not have been allowed to travel to the islands. As of 1st October 2020, whenever this happens to any of these 7 countries, they move from permitted countries Category 1 to permitted countries Category 2. This will allow visitors from these countries to still travel to the islands but with a separate set of measures which have been outlined in this advisory. However this is subject to be revised depending on new developments in these 7 countries. These measures will not apply to visitors who have been vaccinated. 
  • Consideration for entry in Seychelles may also be given to visitors who are not on the permitted list of countries and who have not been vaccinated but they must be arriving by private jets. However, they will be limited to staying at certified island resorts or on board super yachts only. All pre-travel applications for authorisation of entry in the country by visitors from countries not on the permitted list and are arriving by private jets and have not been vaccinated must be submitted to the Public Health Authority on the following email address: [email protected] for approval.

  • CONDITIONS OF ENTRY FOR VISITORS WHO HAVE BEEN VACCINATED.
  • PRE - TRAVEL PROCEDURES
    • Adult visitors must have taken their complete dose of vaccine (the two doses). They can only travel two weeks after they have received their second dose of the vaccine.
    • They must have a negative COVID-19 PCR certificate from an accredited laboratory. The test must be taken less than 72 hours before departure.
    • Infants and children may not be required to be vaccinated. However they will need to have a negative COVID-19 PCR certificate taken not less than 72 hours before travel
    • Health travel authorization is required. Visitors must submit their certificate of vaccination and negative PCR test results, flight and accommodation details before departure. Visitors must submit their application for approval through the designated platform at this link: - https://seychelles.govtas.com/. This can only be done two weeks after they have receive their complete doses of vaccination and after they have received their negative PCR test results. The test must be taken 72 hours before departure.
    • Upon check in, all travellers coming to Seychelles must show approved Health Travel Authorisation (HTA) to their respective airline companies for verification.
    • Visitors must comply with all airline protocols throughout their journey.
    • Visitors must ensure that accommodation bookings are made only at licensed establishments or liveaboards that have been certified by the Public Health Authority. PCR TESTING IN SEYCHELLES FOR DEPARTING VISITORS

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • All flights to DXXX will be allowed but require the usual CAA approval.
    • The Togolese State recommends that all travelers departing from or going to Lomé to take out medical or travel insurance when purchasing their ticket, if they do not already have international health insurance.
    • Any traveler departing from Lomé must undergo a COVID-19 PCR test within 7 days before departure.
    • Before boarding, any passenger bound for Lomé must present the negative results of a COVID-19 PCR test dating less than 7 days. The document containing these results must be downloaded on the form  available here.
  • On arrival, the passenger is subjected to another COVID-19 PCR test at the location set up in the new AIGE terminal. For this purpose, he must complete the online form  available here  and pay the costs of said test before their departure.
    • Airlines check the results of the passengers' COVID-19 PCR tests on boarding and the electronic receipt attesting to the payment of the costs of the COVID-19 PCR test to be carried out on arrival at Lomé Airport.
  • Any passenger who deviates from this rule will be refused boarding.
    • All travelers must install the  TOGO SAFE mobile application on arrival at Lomé airport and keep it active for the duration of their stay or at least 30 days from their arrival in Togo.
