However, these guidelines are in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health in Israel - and you should also check with the airline you are flying with.

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • Effective May 23, 2022, Oman’s Supreme Committee on COVID-19 announced the lifting of all COVID-19 restrictions in the Sultanate of Oman effective immediately. The Omani Ministry of Health last published daily case numbers on May 19, 2022: no new case numbers have been reported to date.
  • Oxford-AstraZeneca, AstraZeneca-Covshield, Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, Sinovac, Sinopharm, and Sputnik V vaccines are approved for administration in the Sultanate for those eligible to receive vaccines. Currently, vaccines are available for individuals over 12 years of age and older. Omani health clinics make the final determination on recipients of vaccine administration.
  • Specific to GA/Private flights
    • Non-schedule/Private jets passenger flights with Omani pax are allowed to operate at OOMS & OOSA. Subject to PACA approval.
    • Non-schedule/Private jets passenger flights with GCC nationals pax are allowed to operate at OOMS & OOSA. Subject to PACA approval.
    • Non-schedule/Private jets passenger flights with non-Omani pax with resident permit are allowed to operate at OOMS & OOSA. Subject to PACA approval.
    • Non-schedule/Private jets passenger flights with non-Omani pax without resident permit are allowed to operate at OOMS & OOSA. Subject to PACA approval.
  •  Specific to Diplomatic/Military flights

    • Crew are allowed to enter Oman on Gendec via private jet and join commercial flight upon their departure as a passenger.
    •  Crew are exempted from the 14 days quarantine. 

 

QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS

  •  The requirements for institutional isolation on arrival in the Sultanate through Oman Airports as featured in the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Circular, effective from March 29, 2021:
  • All arrivals into the Sultanate starting from 2 pm on March 29, 2021, will have to book accommodation in hotels and institutional isolation via the Sahala platform on https://covid19.emushrif.om/.
  • The requirements for entering the Sultanate through Oman Airports as featured in the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Circular, effective from December 29, 2020:
  • All travelers arriving in Oman are required to undergo a PCR test at least 72-hours before their scheduled arrival and to present a certified medical certificate of a negative COVID-19 test result. All travelers will have to quarantine for minimum of seven days upon arrival. Compulsory institutional health isolation for all arrivals to the Sultanate through the various land, sea, and airports is mandatory and at their own expense. There is no longer an option to isolate in a private home setting, until further notice.
  • Travelers are required to pre-book the PCR test through https://covid19.emushrif.om/traveler/travel, pay OMR 25 test fee, and download (Tarrasud+) application prior to arrival in the Sultanate.
  • All travelers arriving in Oman from any country will be required to undergo another COVID-19 PCR test on arrival, wear Tarrasud+ bracelet, and isolate for 7 days.
  • At the end of 7 days, all travelers are required to undergo a new PCR test on the 8th day and if the test result is negative, the isolation period will end.
  • Test results will be available within 24 hours. The test report can be viewed and printed electronically on https://covid19.emushrif.om.
  • Travelers arriving in Oman for a period shorter than 7 days are no longer exempt from the isolation requirements.
  • Children below 15 years old are exempt from the PCR test and Tarrasud+ bracelet requirements.
  • All other previously issued requirements for entry in the Sultanate of Oman remain in force, in as much as they do not contradict with the above newly issued requirements. The US Embassy strongly advises American citizens to review current guidance on appropriate Government of Oman websites prior to travel, as guidelines can change.
  • Individuals who may have been exposed to COVID-19 should call the Ministry of Health for quarantine guidance. Institutional quarantine will also apply to individuals who have had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 or individuals with a severe acute respiratory infection.

  • Qatar is open for travel.

  • It is the responsibility of travellers to know about any changes to the travel and return policy through official sources and websites before planning to travel to the State of Qatar.
  • Travelers must adhere to the measures in place in the State of Qatar to always limit the spread of COVID-19.
  • Citizens and residents of the State of Qatar are no longer required to take a Rapid Antigen test (nor PCR) upon their arrival in the State of Qatar.
  • Visitors are no longer required to bring a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) or Rapid Antigen test certificate before traveling to the State of Qatar.
  • From 1 November 2022, visitors entering Qatar are not required to pre-register on the Ehteraz health application prior to arrival.

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • As of June 13, 2022, the Government of Saudi Arabia no longer requires the use of a face mask or proof of vaccination (Tawakkalna app) to enter various facilities, participate in activities, attend events, or board planes or public transportation, with some exceptions. These exceptions include but are not limited to the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, in addition to health facilities, public events, airplanes and public transport providers that wish to uphold these preventative measures.
  • All non-Saudi citizen passengers must enter their immunization data into the Saudi vaccination registration system “Muqeem” before arrival into Saudi Arabia.  The vaccination registration website can be found here https://muqeem.sa/#/vaccine-registration/home.
  • Domestic Travel
    • Immunization is required for public transportation or domestic air travel.
  • International Travel
    • COVID vaccination boosters are required for all Saudi citizens traveling outside of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within eight months from the second dose, while children under 16 years are required to have a valid health insurance policy approved by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to cover the risks of COVID-19.
  • Entry Requirements
    • All non-resident travelers coming to Saudi Arabia are required to have insurance covering the risks of coronavirus infection.  More information related to insurance for Umrah can be found here.

    • The Saudi Arabian Government announced that effective December 3, Saudi Arabia will allow travelers from all other countries to enter the Kingdom if they are fully vaccinated (with booster for vaccines with which it is required) with an approved COVID-19 vaccine, including: Pfizer, Moderna, Oxford AstraZeneca, Johnson and Johnson, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Covaxin, Sputnik and Covovax.
    • Is a negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or serology) required for entry to Saudi Arabia? No. 
  • Exit Requirements
    • Persons wishing to depart Saudi Arabia are responsible for completing all Saudi exit procedures before arrival at the airport or border crossing.
    • To travel outside the Kingdom, Saudi citizens are required to have COVID-19 vaccination boosters within eight months from the second dose, while children under 16 years are required to have valid health insurance policy approved by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to cover the risks of COVID-19.

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • If crew and pax are fully vaccinated, they will not be required to present a negative PCR certificate on arrival.
  • As per revised protocol PCR testing is no longer required on arrival, except in the case that Command Control Center request it. 
  • If requested, passengers must undergo a PCR test on arrival in Dubai and self‑quarantine until they receive a negative result. In the event the passenger tests positive, then they should follow the guidelines issued by the relevant Health Authority in the Emirate of Dubai.

Transit passengers

All transiting passengers are not required to present a COVID 19 PCR test certificate unless it is mandated by their final destination.

Departing from DXB to all countries

All passengers are required to follow final destination requirements.

Additional information:

  • All Passengers regardless of whether they are vaccinated or not, do not need to quarantine on arrival in Abu Dhabi.
  • No PCR test is required on arrival into Abu Dhabi if passengers are fully vaccinated.
  • A vaccination certificate is valid if it contains a QR code.
  • US vaccination certificates without a QR Code will be accepted.
  • Unvaccinated passengers should take a PCR test 48 hours before your flight at an accredited clinic at the origin.
  • Children under 16 years old are exempted from testing and quarantine.
  • On arrival a test is not mandatory even for unvaccinated PAX.
  • Vaccinated travelers must receive a negative PCR test result every 30 days to maintain "GREEN" status to access public places while in the country.
  • No entry form is required for pax/crew before arrival or after arrival.

 

RESTRICTIONS FOR TECHNICAL REFUELING/CREW REST

  • Operating crew from non-UAE operators may enter the UAE provided that:
    1. They hold a valid PCR test: PCR test is valid when it (i) is showing negative result, (ii) meets the required public health protocol, (iii) is performed within 48 hours before flight to the UAE. Additionally, the PCR Test certificate shall contain a QR code processing at minimum the name of the laboratory, the name of the passenger, the date when the test was performed and the result of the test.
    2. They present a Vaccination certificate on arrival.
  • Technical stops are permitted, and Night stops are permitted at designated hotels.

 

QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS

Please refer to the above information pertaining to PCR test validity requirements in order to avoid quarantine.

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • Do not travel to Yemen due to COVID-19terrorism, civil unrest, health risks, kidnapping, armed conflict, and landmines.
  • Valid PCR test is a must for non-vaccinated passengers or crew member arriving to the country. If crew is not entering the country, then no PCR test required.

 

RESTRICTIONS FOR TECHNICAL REFUELING/CREW REST

  • Tech Stop may be allowed. CAA Approval would be required.
  • Crew may undergo strict Quarantine under the supervision of the state.

 

QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS

  • Non-vaccinated passengers must hold negative PCR test, and it should be dated for 48 hours before arrival date.
  • Non-vaccinated Crew doesn't need PCR unless they'll stay overnight, no Quarantine is required.
  • Authorities across Yemen have introduced a range of measures. These include curfews, movement restrictions, closures of businesses and limitations on public and private gatherings. Implementation may vary and restrictions can change at short notice.
  • Some areas have designated quarantine camps. These can vary in both quality and access to medical provision.
