Business Flight Restrictions

  • The L.F. Wade International Airport is open and operational for all returning residents, visitors, medevac flights, fuel stops and cargo flights. Passengers are permitted both inbound and outbound.
  • Effective immediately,
    • no flights from India or South Africa will be permitted to land in Bermuda and passengers who have travelled from or been in these countries within the last 14 days must quarantine in Bermuda for 14 days.
    • All pre arrival tests must be completed within 3 days (72 hours) of arriving in Bermuda.
  • Additional Covid-19 information can be accessed via the Bermuda Government website www.gov.bm
  • Passengers and airline crew must have an approved travel authorization obtained at least 1 day and at most 3 days before departure
  • Passengers must have:
    • a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken at most 4 days before arrival; or
    • a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken at most 2 days before arrival.
    • This does not apply to residents of Bermuda; passengers younger than 2 years. 
  • Passengers must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival. Vaccines accepted are AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP) and Sinovac
    • This does not apply to residents of Bermuda; passengers younger than 12 years
  • AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS
    1. Cedar Aviation, in partnership with the Bermuda Health Department, has limited non-emergency arrivals to occur between 0900L and 1700L.  The reduced hours will ensure the necessary Health Department representatives are available at our facility to process all arrivals and reduce the potential for spreading Covid 19 at our facility and amongst our staff.  We remain flexible to receive any medevac flights based on humanitarian grounds
    2. All flights must receive prior permission.  The request must be submitted 48 hours in advance of the intended operation.  Cedar intends to provide final confirmation of your handling request at least 24 hours prior to your intended arrival.
    3. Please use the link https://cedar.vortexcms.com/ppr to access the Cedar Aviation Handling Confirmation process and submit your handling request to Cedar Aviation at least 48 hours prior to operation.
    4. Subsequent changes to your handling requests must be made using the link https://cedar.vortexcms.com/chc?a=edit.
    5. The online process is intended to streamline the confirmation for all Military, Medical and General Aviation flights into Bermuda. Any questions that arise from using the system should be emailed to [email protected] and copied to [email protected] and [email protected].  
    6. Additionally, Medical Emergency flights operating between 2200L and 0700L must also receive prior permission (PPR) from the Skyport Airport Authority via the link https://bda.vortexcms.com/ppr.
    7. All Military flights must receive prior permission (PPR) from the Skyport Airport Authority via the link https://bda.vortexcms.com/ppr in addition to the Cedar request  https://cedar.vortexcms.com/ppr
    8. All US Military personnel and US Contractors on official US Government business requiring PCR Covid testing to reenter the US should contact [email protected] to arrange testing.\
    9. Effective July 19th , an updated policy regarding crew has been posted on the landing page of the Crew Travel Authorization Application. All Crew and Flight Dispatch Departments are urged to visit the  website https://www.gov.bm/crew-requirements
    10. Traveler’s Authorization Forms are required to be completed by all passengers and medical patients remaining in Bermuda.  The link for these forms is https://www.gov.bm/coronavirus-travellers
    11. Aircraft are allowed to remain overnight, but crew must make prior arrangements for accommodations.
    12. If operating as Charter Operations (Part 135) you will additionally need to apply for an Operators Permit to be obtained from the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority at [email protected], Website   http://www.bcaa.bm/visiting-aircraft-flight-permits.
  • COVID TESTING- General Information
  • 13.All arriving passengers must take a certified RT-PCR COVID-19 test (nasal swab), ideally, no more than THREE days prior to arrival, and obtain a negative result, have proof of vaccination, and apply for their travel authorization.   If their travel authorization is GREEN, then no testing is required on arrival. If ORANGE, arrival antigen test. If YELLOW, arrival PCR test, 4-day quarantine, day 4 PCR test and day 10 antigen test. If BLUE, day 4 antigen test. If GREY, arrival and day 4 antigen test.
  • 14. Flight crew are not subject to the testing protocols if they are departing within 24 hours of arrival.

  • Passengers are subject to quarantine for 14 days at their own expense

Business Flight Restrictions

Ordinance Nº 678, DE 12 DE SETEMBRO DE 2022 establishes the following entry rules for travelers and / or crew members, Brazilians or foreigners coming from abroad:

  • Art. 2 The restrictions mentioned in this Ordinance do not apply:
    • I - children under the age of twelve.
    • II - cargo transport workers.
    • III - to the crew of aircraft.
    • IV - the traffic of border residents in twin cities.
  • Art. 3 The entry into the Country of the traveler of international origin, Brazilian or foreign, is authorized, provided that is presented, alternatively:
    • I - proof of COVID-19 vaccination, pursuant to art. 4, printed or electronically; or
    • II - proof of carrying out a test for screening for SARS-CoV-2 (covid-19) infection, with a negative or non-detectable result, of the antigen test or RT-PCR laboratory performed one day before the embarkation.
      • § 1 The proof of vaccination or test mentioned in items I and II of the caput must be presented, before boarding, to the airline responsible for the flight or to the person responsible for the vessel.
      • § 3 The entry into the national territory of travelers who have had covid-19 in the last ninety days, counted from the date of onset of symptoms, who are asymptomatic and persist with RT-PCR test or detectable antigen test for the SARS-CoV coronavirus -2 (covid-19), will be allowed upon presentation of the following documents:
    • I - two detectable RT-PCR results, with an interval of at least fourteen days, the last being performed up to one day before the moment of departure/entry into the country: and
    • II - medical certificate that must contain the signature of the responsible physician and declare that the individual is asymptomatic and able to travel, including the date of travel.
  • Art. 4 A traveler who has completed the primary vaccination schedule at least fourteen days before the date of departure is considered vaccinated, provided that:
    • I - immunizing agents approved by Local Health Authority, the World Health Organization or the authorities of the country where the traveler was immunized are used; and
    • II - the vaccination certificates contain, at least, the name of the traveler and the following vaccine data:
      • a) trade name or manufacturer's name.
      • b) applied dose(s); and
      • c) date(s) of application of the dose(s).

Vaccination cards in which the data provided for in the headings of the caput are available exclusively in QR-CODE format or in any other encrypted language will not be accepted.

  • Art. 5th RT-PCR or antigen tests with a report must be performed in a laboratory recognized by the health authority of the country of origin.
  • Art. 6th Sars-Cov-2 (covid-19) recovery certificates will not be accepted in place of proof of vaccination or test.
  • Art. 7 The documents required in this Ordinance and issued abroad must be presented in Portuguese, Spanish, or English.

COVID 19 Protocol Summary

Business Flight Restrictions

  • According to the Resolution 2052 of December 06th, 2021 of the Ministry of Health and Social
  • Protection and the Ministry of Transportation, the National Government has established that as of December 14th, 2021, the following measures for the entry of travelers over 18 years of age from abroad must be observed:
  • For Colombians, diplomats and their families and foreigners residing in Colombia:  When entering Colombia, you must present a vaccination certificate proving a full vaccination scheme against COVID-19, complete at least 14 days before the date of entry into the country. 
    • In case the traveler does not hold such document, a PCR test with a negative result for COVID-19 issued no more than 72 hours before the initially scheduled date and time of boarding must be presented OR and Antigen Negative test result with 48 hours prior to arrival.
  • For foreigners not residing in Colombia:  When entering Colombia, you must present a vaccination certificate providing a full vaccination scheme against COVID-19, complete at least 14 days before the date of entry into the country.  In case the event that you do not have a complete vaccination scheme, or the full scheme has not meet 14 days of completion, a PCR test with a negative result for COVID-19 issued no more than 72 hours before the initially schedule date and time of boarding must be presented OR and Antigen Negative test result with 48 hours prior to arrival.
  • The vaccines required to enter Colombia will be those authorized by the World Health Organization, which may be consulted at:
  • ALL TRAVELERS MUST KEEP IN MIND - Fill out the Check-Mig of Migración Colombia online 72 hours before your flight to facilitate your immigration control. Provide the confirmation number generated by the website to show to authorities upon arrival.
  • Travelers are also required to complete the online form before leaving Colombia. Failure to provide the confirmation number that proves that the Check MIG was completed will be ground for inadmissibility to the country or for flight departure will cause boarding denial.
  • Foreign Citizens 
    • Remember to comply with the entry requirements to Colombia and verify if you require a visa depending on the activity you are going to carry out in the country.

From 4 May there will no longer be a legal requirement to:

  • Enter a period of quarantine upon arrival in the Falkland Islands
  • Provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test as a condition of entry to the Falkland Islands – however this may still be a requirement as a condition of carriage for people entering the Islands either by air or sea.
  • Travel from Mount Pleasant Airport (MPA) in designated transport, provided travelers continue to meet the necessary security requirements to enter or exit Mount Pleasant Complex.
  • On arrival to Mount Pleasant Airport passengers will go through all the normal passport processes and luggage collection. Before departing all passengers will be given a letter from the Chief Medical Officer and two LFD tests. We are encouraging all arrivals to swab themselves on day two and day five, but this is not mandatory.

In the period from 13 April 2022 until further notice, only the following flights are permitted in Surinamese airspace:

  • The Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles, Guyana, French Guiana, Brazil, Panama, Trinidad & Tobago and the United States of America, Cuba and the Dominican Republic: outbound and inbound flights for cargo and passenger traffic.
  • Haiti: Inbound and outbound passengers are allowed given that they are residents of Suriname or have explicit written permission of the Government of the Republic of Suriname to travel to Suriname.
  • A landing request must be requested three (3) working days before the operation date.
    • Fully vaccinated persons who are travelling by air will be required to present the following documents:

  • Haiti: Inbound and outbound passengers are allowed given that they are residents of Suriname or have explicit written permission of the Government of the Republic of Suriname to travel to Suriname.
    • Fully vaccinated persons who are travelling by air will be required to present the following documents:
      • Proof of complete vaccination with a WHO EUL COVID-19 vaccine or a COVID-19 recovery certificate not older than six (6) months.
      • Valid travel documents.
      • Yellow fever certificate for persons traveling from or transiting countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.              
    • Guyana and French Guyana
      • Persons who are fully vaccinated or can present a COVID-19 recovery certificate not older than six (6) months and have stayed in Guyana or French Guyana at least 14 days and are travelling to Suriname by land do not need to submit a Negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR or a negative SARS-CoV-2 antigen test result.
    • Persons who are not or not-fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be required to present the following documents:
      • Persons who are not or not-fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no longer need permission from the Surinamese authorities to travel to Suriname. However, the following conditions are applicable:
        • i.    Present a negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR test result not older than 48 hours, issued by an accredited medical test entity, before departure or a Negative SAR-CoV-2 antigen test result. quarantine must be observed.
        • ii.    Valid travel documents.
        • iii.    Yellow fever certificate for persons traveling from or transiting countries with risk of yellow fever transmission.  
          • Note: Surinamese residents and diplomats accredited in Suriname are exempted from requirements iii .
    •  Not or not fully vaccinated persons traveling abroad
      • Surinamese nationals and residents who need to travel abroad must take into account the entry measures of those countries to which they travel to as well as the entry measures for re-entering Suriname.

Important Information:

  •  A person is considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after the last COVID-19 vaccination shot (for Johnson & Johnson/Jansen, only 1 shot is required).
  • Fully vaccinated also includes persons who after being tested positive for COVID-19, from 14 days to 6 months ago with a COVID-19 recovery certificate showing the relevant test results (SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR and CT value).
  • The vaccines accepted are: AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), AZD1222 (SK Bioscience Co Ltd.), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm,Covaxine and Sinovac.
  • The following vaccines are also accepted Soberana 1, 2, plus or Abdala or Spoetnik V under the condition that travelers also present a negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR test result not older than 48 hours issued by an accredited medical test entity before departure and a SARS-CoV-2 antigen test must be taken 3 days after arrival in Suriname. The test condition is regardless of the incidence rate of the departing country.
  • Children under the age of 18 years are exempted from the vaccination requirement.
  • Children under the age of 12 years are exempted from the requirement to present a Negative SARS-CoV-2 PCR or a negative SARS-CoV-2 antigen test result.
  • Vaccination against yellow fever is required if arriving within six (6) days after leaving or transiting countries with risk of yellow fever transmission. The yellow fever certificate must be issued 10 days before arrival.

Please be advised that if this will be just a technical stop or fuel stop WITHOUT staying overnight, then there is no permission needed from the authorities to land at SMJP. You will need just the landing permission from the CAA, which we can request for you if you send us the following documents:

It must be attached to the Affidavit and present it to the company in which they travel prior to boarding.
      • Pre-admission test: They do not need to take one.
      • Post-admission test: You do not need to take a test on the seventh day.
      • Health coverage: Have health coverage in Uruguay.
  • Unvaccinated Foreign citizens 
    • Requirements:
      • Test prior to entry: Accredit a negative result of the SARS-CoV-2 virus detection test (by molecular biology PCR-RT technique), carried out no more than 72 (seventy-two) hours before the start of the trip, in an authorized laboratory in the country of origin or transit. In the event that entry into the country is through commercial airline, the accreditation of the negative test must be carried out prior to boarding with the corresponding company. Minors under 6 years of age are exempt from doing so.
      • Post-entry test: They do not need to take one.
      • Health coverage: Have health coverage in Uruguay.

COVID 19 Protocol Summary

 

BUSINESS FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS

  • Passengers entering or transiting through Venezuela must have:
    • COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days and at most 270 days before arrival; or
    • COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated and received a booster dose; or
    • negative COVID-19 RT- PCR test taken at most 72 hours before arrival.
    • This does not apply to passengers younger than 1 year.
  • Passengers are subject to a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival at their own expense. Depending on the airport of arrival, passengers could be subject to registering at the laboratory before departure. This will generate a digital receipt which must be presented upon arrival.
  • This does not apply to passengers younger than 5 years.

 

RESTRICTIONS FOR TECHNICAL REFUELING/CREW REST

  • All permits to operate to Venezuela, must be requested via chancellery. Including Cargo, Medevac and Technical stop.
  • If you are transiting through Venezuela: Transiting through Venezuela on your way to other country is permitted for travelers as long as they comply with all of the mandatory standard COVID-19 entry requirements: having a (hardcopy) negative COVID-19 PCR test performed within 72 hours of their incoming flight arrival and complying with the mandatory PCR testing at port of entry at Maiquetia International Airport (CasaLab- https://pasedesalud.casalab.com.ve/). Travelers should also make sure their passport is valid for entry and transit in Venezuela.

 

QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS

  • If you test positive for COVID-19, you must follow instructions from the local health authorities. There are no mandatory rules in respect to quarantine. You should arrange to take a private test.
