Oct. 21, 2019 – LAS VEGAS – Two industry-leading suppliers are coming together to offer customers a total solution to simplify their trip management. Satcom Direct (SD) and World Fuel Services have signed an agreement to integrate their software. The new relationship provides common customers an enhanced experience for preplanning, trip execution, flight planning, datalink, and global and regional trip support.

Common customers will enjoy completely integrated technologies, allowing them to work through either Satcom Direct’s customer portal, SD Pro®, or World Fuel Services’ portal, myWorld. This greater convenience and accessibility will benefit pilots, operators and flight departments.

“We are always looking for ways to make it easier for customers to transact business no matter where they are, from the office to the cockpit,” says Malcolm Hawkins, senior vice president North American sales at World Fuel Services. “Our relationship with Satcom Direct brings two complementary solutions together to create a seamless environment to make flight departments more efficient.”

SD Pro now provides a centralized ecosystem for all preplanning needs, partnering with best-in-class trip planning via World Fuel Services. Customers will be able to quote and set up fuel directly from the SD Pro dashboard while in flight. They can also access their World Fuel Services trip support flight plans and arrangements at the same time. Integration with Satcom Direct’s FlightDeck Freedom® (FDF) datalink service enables trip status updates from World Fuel Services’ trip planning to be reflected in real-time in SD Pro, cohesively keeping all members up to date.

Satcom Direct customers with an active World Fuel Services fuel account will now have free access to worldwide airport, handling and country databases. Through the myWorld app, they can access the fuel quote and setup processes, as well as a global weather resource. Free access to myWorld flight planning, designed for regional self-serve operators, can double as an electronic flight bag (EFB) for all flight plans.

The new partnership will be formally signed at the National Business Aviation Association’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas. Customers, media members and interested members of the public are invited to witness this event at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 23, at World Fuel Services’ booth #N4702 of the Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall. Representatives for both companies will be on hand for the signing.
