Effective March 21, 2024, in conjunction with AIRAC Cycle 2405, ICAO approved a change in the Singapore (WSJC) and Jakarta (WIIF) FIR boundaries. With this change, the Riau and Natuna Islands of Indonesia lie within the Jakarta FIR.
As of January 7, 2019, an international tourist tax has been levied on travelers departing Japan. Each passenger will be taxed 1,000JPY, except for transit passengers, children under the age of two, and flight crew.
Beginning on March 15, 2019, for Charter flights, and on March 30, 2019, for Private flights, Japan will begin requiring two new signed documents from operators wishing to conduct flights to 31 airports in the country.
